我們需要

• Attend a 1-hour zoom meeting to understand more about our beneficiaries and the details of the activity
• Participate in 3.5 hours of activity, which includes gift preparation and hostel visits on 17 Dec
• Organize and host a 5.5-hour Christmas Party for homeless users on 22 Dec
• Volunteers who can join all sessions are preferred (we need the volunteers to at least commit to 17 and 22 Dec sessions)

背景資料

We discover that the friends previously homeless who live in our hostel lack of emotional and social support. They often feel lonely and helpless. Adequate emotional and social support is very important for their health and it gives them power to move forward and continue in their journey. Therefore we organize this volunteer activity to provide the social and emotional support by increasing the connection between homeless and citizens.

我們可提供的資源

Our social worker would provide the information of our clients, the gift materials and party stuffs for the visits. Volunteers can enjoy the event and make their holiday more meaningful - at the same time get a better understanding of the issue.

對我們的意義

Providing adequate social and emotional support allows the homeless person to better maintain their health. This allows them to take their first steps to make changes in subsequent treatment.
