• Review and improve financial protocols and procedures of a small start-up non-profit
• Advise and help resolve accounting issues to ensure compliance and smooth audit
• Have regular meetings with our team to enhance current financial and accounting system

背景資料

Over the first year of our existence, we had a chance to be granted 2 government projects. Our organisation grew and with it also our accounting needs. Due to the limited resources, we had to establish and manage all our finances ourselves. We learned a lot in the process and discovered we have a lot of room for improvement to operate in the most efficient, transparent, and compliant manner. We hope an experienced volunteer would be able to help us make these necessary improvements.

We are using online accounting software (Xero) and details of our current financial procedures will be shared with the volunteer. There is also a person on our team overseeing all the financial management as well as the Executive Director who will be both involved with the volunteer.

As transparency is one of our core values, we believe we need to enhance our internal capacity regarding financial management and accounting in order to be compliant and manage the funds efficiently while creating the most impact. For us to continue to provide services to the community, we need to have a strong financial system to ensure our work is legitimate!
