• Attend an initial 1-hour briefing call to learn about our organization, our 10th anniversary goals, and the planned celebration series
• Assist in implementing the marketing plan for our anniversary events
• Create engaging social media content across platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram)
• Reach out to potential promotional partners and manage those relationships
• Develop email marketing campaigns to engage our supporter base
• Assist with the creation of press releases and media kits
• Collaborate with the core team to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all marketing materials
• Track and report on marketing metrics to help measure the success of our outreach efforts
• Contribute creative ideas to enhance our marketing strategy and event promotion
• Basic graphic design skill is preferred but not required

We are an NGO dedicated to food rescue and assistance, and we will be celebrating our 10th anniversary next year. To commemorate this important milestone and raise funds to support our work, we are seeking creative and experienced volunteers to help us conceptualize and plan a series of special events throughout the year.

This 10th anniversary celebration project will significantly advance Food Commons Foundation's mission by raising awareness about food waste and rescue efforts. By showcasing our decade-long efforts, we can attract more partners and stakeholders, strengthening our network for food collection and redistribution.The events will highlight our innovative approaches to reducing waste. This increased visibility can lead to more volunteers, donors, and supporters, expanding our capacity to collect and redistribute food. Furthermore, the project can showcase the positive impact of our initiatives, potentially inspiring similar efforts elsewhere.By engaging diverse communities through these events, we can encourage wider participation in food rescue efforts, moving beyond a single funding source and fostering a community-driven approach to tackling food waste. Ultimately, this project will amplify our impact, helping us reduce waste, combat environmental pollution, and assist more people in need throughout our service areas.
