Pair up with a primary school student and support his/her academic and whole-person development through regular catch-ups
The 2024/25 Mentorship Program aims to make a significant impact in the lives of children by providing them with dedicated mentors. This program is designed to offer guidance, support, and inspiration to young individuals, helping them navigate their educational and personal development journeys. The mentorship program has been running successfully for 5 years, and we are now looking to expand our reach by recruiting committed volunteers who are passionate about making a positive difference in the community.
To ensure our volunteers are well-prepared and supported, training workshops will be provided to equip mentors with essential skills and knowledge for effective mentoring. Our program coordinators will be available to provide continuous support and guidance. Regular check-ins, feedback sessions, and peer support groups will help mentors address any challenges and share experiences.
The 2024/25 Mentorship Program aligns with our core mission to enhance educational equity and empower young individuals to achieve their full potential. By recruiting and training dedicated volunteers as mentors, we aim to provide young students with the personalized guidance and encouragement they need to overcome challenges, build confidence, and achieve academic and personal success. On the other hand, we also aim to engage community members in meaningful volunteer work, fostering a sense of collective responsibility and involvement in the educational growth of young individuals.

Founded with empathy and a deep understanding of the challenges associated with effecting institutional change, EdQuity recognizes that true social transformation must begin at the local level. Our mission is to mobilize capable and passionate young individuals to provide additional support to primary and secondary school students while engaging in dialogues and actions to improve education and reduce inequities at the grassroots level. Through our free-of-charge initiatives, such as one-on-one mentorships, design thinking workshops, interactive forums on career and life planning, and discussion-based learning sessions, we not only encourage students to excel academically but, more importantly, to develop a passion for utilizing their experiences, talents, and knowledge to uplift those facing educational disparities. EdQuity has become a vibrant hub where students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, values, and age groups come together, sharing a common passion to voice their opinions and take meaningful action. Ultimately, we aim to nurture young individuals capable of original thinking, articulate expression, and significant contributions towards reducing education inequity in Hong Kong.
