Prior to joining Meitu, Gary was the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Forgame Holdings Limited, a Guangzhou-based web and mobile video game company that he took public in 2013 on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Gary was born and raised in Hong Kong, and completed his Hong Kong A-level Exams before heading to the U.S. for college. After graduation from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, he came straight back to Hong Kong to start his career in UBS Investment Research. Gary initially focused on covering the Macau Casino sector and has witnessed the opening of the first ‘New Macau’ casino - StarWorld Hotel, while participated in the IPOs of three out of the six casino concessionaires, namely Melco-Crown, Wynn Macau and Sands China. Later on, he expanded his coverage to the China Internet sector and became the Head of Hong Kong and China Internet Research in 2011. Gary is a CFA Charterholder.
