Born in Singapore and educated in The University of Western Australia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Yenn is an entrepreneur and restaurateur with over 15 years of experience. She is the founder and CEO of JIA Group, a Hong Kong-based food and beverage operator that has earned a reputation internationally as an award-winning trendsetter in the hospitality industry.
Some of Yenn’s personal accolades includes being awarded "Asia’s Best Young Entrepreneurs" by Businessweek 2008 and "Rising Star Award -Women in Asia" by Financial Times /RBS Coutt’s 2009. In 2013 she was named one of the 10 "Women of our Time" by South China Morning Post, "Restaurateur of the Year" by Hong Kong Tatler in 2016 and "Young Entrepreneur of the Year" by Asia Corporate Excellence & Sustainability 2017.
JIA Group is a Hong Kong-based food and beverage operator that has earned a reputation internationally as an award-winning trendsetter in the hospitality industry. With a management philosophy based on originality, culinary authenticity, simplicity, quality service and passion, the company was established with the opening of 208 Duecento Otto in 2010, and over the next 11 years created a number of restaurants that led the dining trend in Hong Kong, one of the most competitive food and beverage markets in the world.
The company’s portfolio include 13 restaurants and bars spanning cuisines including Chinese, Thai, Malaysian/Singaporean, Italian, French, Balinese and Spanish. In 2018, the Company was listed on the GEM Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
In 2020, JIA Group launched their first delivery platform, JIA EVERYWHERE. The platform allows guests to order dishes and catering sets designed by their favourite JIA venues in the comforts of their own home.
Over the years, JIA has amassed awards and accolades, including three MICHELIN’s for Louise (since 2020), Duddell’s (since 2013) and Ando (2021), and Asia’s 50 Best (2021) for Mono.
In 2020, three of JIA chef-founders, Julien Royer, Agustin Balbi and Ricardo Chaneton was awarded 19th, 20th, 94th(respectively) on the ‘The Best Chef Awards’, a highly respected platform recognised by the international culinary community.
Cost per person is HK$50 (Full-time students aged 25 or below)/ HK$100 (General Participants) to support the running costs of our charity and our mission to make volunteerism mainstream.
The experience may be rescheduled or hosted online with consideration of the social distancing restrictions due to COVID-19. And a new date and time will be communicated with the participants. Please also note that food & beverage will only be served if the restrictions allow. The arrangement will be confirmed closer to the event date.
All participants are required to complete a health declaration form before attending the event.
