Calvin Poon Yuen-leung is a renowned lyricist, screenwriter, and film director in Hong Kong. The 80s and 90s were the golden age of Cantonese pop songs, he has seized the opportunities and published more than 500 songs in total since then. He worked with many well-known singers, such as Alan Tam Wing-lun, Jacky Cheung Hok-yau, and Dave Wang Chieh. Together they have created many classic works, including “Love Trap” (愛情陷阱), “How could I not regret of letting you go” (怎麼捨得你), “Amour” (遙遠的她), “Who Understands A Wanderer's Heart” (誰明浪子心), "Unconditional" (無條件) and more. These songs hence become masterpieces of the singers and are widely circulated. Calvin’s lyrics works have been acknowledged by multiple music awards. In 1989, the song “Who Understands A Wanderer's Heart” (誰明浪子心)", that he wrote the lyrics for Dave Wang Chieh, won the Top Ten Chinese Gold Songs Award and Jade Solid Gold Best Ten Music Award. He has also won the Hong Kong Film Award for Best Original Film Song for four times.

In recognition of his significant contribution to the music industry, Calvin was presented the Music Achievement Award at the CASH Golden Sail Music Awards in 2019. Before starting his career as a lyricist, Calvin worked as a screenwriter and director. His screenplays include " This Shanghai Encounter" (亂世兒女) and " A Touch of Evil (狂野生死戀). His directed works are namely " Kiss Me Goodbye" (戀愛季節), " Hi, Fidelity " (出軌的女人), " Shadows of Love" (影子愛人) and " Fatal Visit" (聖荷西謀殺案).

Other than being a lyricist, film writer, and director, Calvin also shows his creative talent in other performing arts areas, such as movie and stage theatre performance. Calvin is also a football commentator at Cable TV since 1999. He described that commentator's narration is similar to the nature of the lyrics, which helps enrich the game like how lyrics complement the music.

潘源良是香港著名填詞人、電影編劇及導演，有「浪子詞人」之稱。80及90年代是廣東歌的黃金時代，他適逢其會，發表的填詞作品超過500首。他曾與不同知名歌手合作，例如譚詠麟、張學友、王傑等，創作出不少經典作品，包括：《愛情陷阱》、《怎麼捨得你》、《遙遠的她》、《誰明浪子心》、《無條件》等等。這些歌曲亦成為歌手們的代表作，廣為流傳。 潘源良的作品備受多個音樂獎項肯定，填詞功力毋庸置疑。1989年，他為王傑的《誰明浪子心》填詞，歌曲獲得當年兩大頒獎典禮（十大勁歌金曲及十大中文金曲）的金曲獎。他有份填詞的音樂作品更四度榮獲香港電影金像獎「最佳原創電影歌曲」，成績有目共睹。

為表揚他對樂壇作出的重大貢獻，潘源良在2019 被獲頒CASH金帆音樂獎頒獎禮「音樂成就獎」。 在開始填詞生涯前，潘源良曾任編劇及導演等工作，參與編劇的電影作品包括《亂世兒女》、《郎心如鐵》、《狂野生死戀》、《神偷諜影》、《幻影特攻》等。由他執導的作品則有《戀愛季節》、《出軌的女人》、《影子愛人》及《聖荷西謀殺案》。

除了擔任填詞人、電影編劇及導演之外，潘源良亦有涉獵其他演藝範疇，例如參演電影《同門》、《激戰》等，又在1999年自編自導自演舞台劇《一個戀人的獨白——戀講戀唱》，充分發揮其創作才華。 在1999年起，潘源良在擔任有線電視足球評述員。 他曾形容，其實評述員工作與歌詞的性質有點相似；評述員的旁白能令球賽內容變得豐富，就像歌詞可令歌曲變得更感人。
