Peggy is responsible for Marriott’s go to market strategy in Asia Pacific which includes Brand Management, Marketing, Sales + Distribution, Revenue Management, Digital and Communications. She provides strategic leadership over 20 countries and territories, 23 brands and more than 720 open hotels in the Asia Pacific region. She is focused on building the Asia Pacific customer base, adapting Marriott’s brands and loyalty program to the local market, execution of $60M in sales and marketing spend, guiding a salesforce of 5000+ and driving our distribution and pricing strategy. In 2016, Peggy led the sales and marketing integration of Marriott and Starwood in APAC and most recently, provided the business leadership that resulted in Marriott’s joint venture with Alibaba. Peggy is passionate about education and supporting the development of women. She co-founded Marriott’s Women in Leadership initiative in Asia Pacific in 2014 and is a board member of the Hong Kong chapter of the Asian University for Women. In the Hong Kong community, Peggy also serves on the Board Committee for Advancement at Hong Kong International School.
Prior to this role, Peggy held multiple roles at Marriott’s corporate headquarters where she lead a number of innovation initiatives including the successful redesign of the TownePlace Suites brand and a new way to think future meeting experiences. Peggy has over 13 years of experience in the hotel industry and held prior roles in Operations, Brand Marketing and Brand Management. Prior to Marriott, Peggy held roles at GE Capital, Amazon.com and Homestead.com in Silicon Valley. Peggy received her master’s degree from Harvard Business School and bachelor’s degree in Organizational Behavior from the University of Michigan. She lives in Hong Kong with her husband and two children.
All volunteer hours must be completed during 1 April 2019 to 10 September 2019.
Cost per person is HK$150 (Full-time students aged 25 or below)/ HK$250 (General Participants) to support the running costs of our charity and our mission to make volunteerism mainstream.
