Katherine has her own interior design practice, Katherine Wong Studios. Her works include The Armoury Stores in Hong Kong and New York City, Rupert Sanderson China Flagship Store in Shanghai, as well as a Hong Kong Classic Tailor Store WW Chan. She has always strived to engage environmental and social responsibilities in her designs. Prior to that, she has also practiced as an architect for over 6 years in New York City.
She has also co-founded a yoga and travel wear company, Omberry Living Aesthetics (www.omberry.com), which creates edgy, versatile, and aesthetically functional apparel with a vintage flair.
Since graduating with a degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design, she has worked for the internationally renowned architecture firm Skidmore Owings and Merrill in New York City. Her work encompasses numerous building types including commercial office high-rise, hotels, high-end residential, museums, and urban design in Europe, United States, Middle East, and China. Katherine has also worked for LO-TEK, a New York City based architecture firm on two low-rise residential condos in Almere, Netherlands, in collaboration with Netherland based award-winning firm MVRDV.
Katherine has co-founded Omberry Living Aesthetics, a line of yoga wear with a retro flair. She is currently working in Hong Kong with her own interior design practice. Katherine is also a LEED AP and has worked on numerous LEED and HQE projects in the United States, France, Bahrain and Abu Dhabi. Her design works have been in publications including Dwell Magazine, Architect's Newspaper, Material World: Home Decor Projects for the Fabric Obsessed. In her free time, she enjoys watercolours and DIY projects.
