Meet Dr Wong, who oversees Sands China’s integrated resorts including The Venetian Macao, Sands Macao, The Plaza Macao, Sands Cotai Central & The Parisian Macao.

About

Currently President and Executive Director of Sands China Ltd., a leading developer, owner and operator of multi-use integrated resorts and casinos in Macao. Dr. Wong previously served as Deputy Secretary for the Civil Service, Deputy Director General of Industry of the Hong Kong Government and the Chairman of Standing Commission on Civil Service Salaries and Conditions of Service. Dr. Wong was also elected a member of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China for 15 years from 1997 to 2012.

He is currently the Chairman of Hong Kong Film Development Council; Chairman of Hong Kong Arts Development Council; Chairman of Asian Film Awards Academy; Chairman of Hong Kong International Film Festival Society; Chairman of Hong Kong Institute for Public Administration; Chairman Emeritus of Hong Kong Baptist University Foundation; Chairman Emeritus of the Pacific Basin Economic Council; and Committee Member of the 9th National Congress of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles. He was awarded the Silver and Gold Bauhinia Star awards in 2007 and 2015 respectively. He is a graduate of the University of Hong Kong and obtained a Master in Public Administration degree from Harvard University, USA. He also studied a post graduate program at Oxford University, United Kingdom.
