How Time Auction works

1. Earn Karma

Donating and logging past volunteer hours earns you Karma Points, which you can then use to bid on auctions. $1 donated earns 1 Karma Point and 1 hour volunteered earns 10 Karma Points.

2. Bid

Bid your Karma Points to meet inspiring people, such as humanitarians, entrepreneurs, athletes, or artists. Most auctions allow every bidder to win if the goal is reached.

3. Meet

Time Auction is all about priceless experiences and rewards for the priceless philanthropy you do. Depending on the auction, meetings are done virtually or in person... or both!

Meet William To, Executive Director of PMQ

Meet William, who is the brains behind PMQ, the space for creative happenings that was originally the Police Married Quarters built in 1951.


William spent 18 years working in the advertising industry in Hong Kong. In 1992, he founded his own agency. Later on in his career, William became Brand Consultant to some of his clients, helping them launched their brands and products in Hong Kong and China.

William joined Hong Kong Design Centre in 2005 and is responsible for the flagship events – Business of Design Week (BODW), Knowledge of Design Week (KODW) and Design for Asia Awards (DFAA 2006-­‐08).

In Aug 2012, William took on a duo role and joined PMQ – a newly launched creative platform project for designers -­‐ responsible for creating programs to promote and connect local and overseas design industries for possible collaboration.

All volunteer hours must be completed during 1 December 2018 to 5 June 2019.

Cost per person is HK$100 (Full-time students aged 25 or below)/ HK$200 (General Participants) to support the running costs of our charity and our mission to make volunteerism mainstream.

Lunch will be held at the Hive Wan Chai at 12:15-2:30pm on 15 June 2019.
