Leaving a good corporate position and stable career path in 2008, Arthur Chow co-founded 6waves (www.6waves.com), seizing the business opportunity in the growing social gaming sector. Under Arthur's leadership, 6waves has turned into a leader global publisher of Facebook games reaching over 20 million active users with more than 150 games. His achievements were recognized as he won the prestigious Ernest & Young Entrepreneur of the Year China Award in 2012.
Always interested in new technology and gadgets, he would not however classify himself as a nerd as he also likes sports including golf, basketball, football, in addition to being a big movie, musical and cantopop fan!
Arthur Chow is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of 6waves, the leading global publisher of Facebook games reaching over 20 million active users with games including Ravenwood Fair, Kingdoms of Camelot, and the latest hits Mystery Manor and Airport City.
Arthur leads the operations and M&A/partnership activities of 6waves and is also involved in the company's overall strategy formulation and its execution. The 6waves group has now close to 120 employees in Hong Kong, US, Japan and China. The group has completed Series A and B funding from US-based venture capital Insight Venture Partners and leading games company Nexon from Korea. He was selected as a winner of the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year China Award in 2012 to recognize his effort in 6waves.
Prior to joining 6waves, Arthur was the Executive Director, Business Development - Asia Pacific for TimeWarner's Turner International Asia Pacific Limited. Before Turner, he spent 7 years at Yahoo!, as a Director who led Business Development, Marketing, and Alliance and Strategy Planning for Yahoo! Hong Kong. He started his career as a corporate banker with HSBC and was the first Asian to be awarded as Management Trainee of the Year.
Arthur was graduated with a Business Administration degree with Richard Ivey Business School (Canada), and then completed his Law degree with The University of London and Master of Business Administration with The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).
