Donald dedicates to giving back through being a family doctor, teaching, community work & involvement in government & public health bodies
Dr Donald Li is the Chairman of the Bauhinia Foundation Research Centre, an independent policy think tank. Besides being in active practice as a family doctor, Dr Li dedicates much of his professional time to academic, teaching and community work. He is also active member of many Hong Kong governmental and public health bodies. Dr Li is the Chairman of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council and the Honorary Secretary of St John’s Ambulance Council. He is an Honorary Steward of the Hong Kong Jockey Club. He is the Honorary Adviser of The Hong Kong Award for Young People and Honorary Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Volunteers.
Medically, Dr Li is the President-elect of the World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA). He is the immediate past President of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine and Censor of the Hong Kong College of Family Physicians. He is also the Chairman of the governing committee of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Disaster Preparedness and Response Institute (HKJC DPRI) of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine.
All volunteer hours must be completed between 1 Oct 2016 to 30 June 2017.
Lunch will be held at 12:30PM on 30th August 2017. Cost of lunch is $150 per person.
