Zac Purton is a four-time champion horse racing jockey in Hong Kong and multiple records holder. Zac began his jockey career when he won the Brisbane jockeys’ premiership as an apprentice in 2003. He later moved to Sydney and quickly rose to the top before beginning his career in Hong Kong in 2007/08. During his first championship season, Zac raced to what was then the fastest 50 in Hong Kong’s history and became the second rider to notch 100 wins in a season. Zac had a career-high 168 wins in 2018/19 and became the second jockey in Hong Kong history to ride 1000 winners. Additionally, his races riding Beauty Generation (美麗傳承) had a record breaking 9-start, 9-win season, which created history by becoming the first horse in Hong Kong to smash through the HK$100m prize money mark, setting a new single season prize money record of HK$234,989,515.

Zac is currently the record holder for most Group 1 wins in Hong Kong, most Group 1 wins in a season, and most prize money won in a season. He has also raced in 9 different countries, ridden winning horses in 7 countries, and become Group 1 winner in 6 different countries.
