Provide us with on-site event coordination support for UNESCAP Sustainable Investing and ESG Conference
Project Details
What we need
- Coordinate and support on-site logistics, engaging and assisting participants
- Assist with ad-hoc task
- Volunteers with events or customer service experience will be preferred
- Preferably volunteers who can commit to both days (26-27 Oct)
- All volunteers will be required to have received two vaccination shots by 11 Oct
Background
Riding on the success of 2019, World Green Organisation (WGO) will co-organise again with UNESCAP the second United Nations Sustainable Investing & ESG Conference 2020/21. Apart from the important topics in ESG, Green Bonds and Sustainability-link Loans, the conference will also cover more contemporary issues on Economic Recovery after Pandemic, Carbon Neutral Solutions for Greater Bay Area, Impact Investment, AFCD, Carbon Trading/Carbon Assets Management, AI Solution in Forestry and PPP infrastructure financing.
What we have
There will be a group briefing via zoom for all volunteers in the week before the event, also daily at the start of the event. Our team will also be on-site to guide volunteers.
Why this is important
The debut event in 2019 was the first large-scale conference discussing climate finance and sustainable investing UNESCAP has organised in Hong Kong. It aims to bring together policymakers, private business and financial sectors, international organizations, and other relevant stakeholders to discuss the pressing issues in promoting climate resilient investment to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and scale the Asia-Pacific’s green capital market.
