Background

In April 2020 we launched our online donation platform via our website and our social media strategy in July 2020. This is helping us grow our donor base and we would like to improve the mediums for communicating with donors and volunteers and encouraging them to share the work our organisation does. Our communication has been limited to periodic printed newsletters and seasonal emails. We want to launch a new look and tone to our newsletters, including a new e-newsletter.

What we have

We will have briefing sessions with the volunteer in order for them to have a better understanding of what we want to create and the direction we want to move towards. We can provide examples of existing newsletter material and they can access our web and social media sites to view examples of our regular posts to gauge the tone and CTA's.

Why this is important

A crisp new image for our newsletters and the addition of an e-newsletter are necessary templates for communicating improved content and messaging to our donors and volunteers. We hope this will result in more 'shares', helping to grow our donor base and increase donor engagement.

What we do

We create brighter futures for those who need it most, helping children learn the professional and social skills required to survive and thrive in modern-day China. Since 1999, the Sunbeam Children’s Foundation has operated the Sunbeam Village in Baiwan, Qingyuan, Guangdong, PRC. We provide safe accommodation, healthcare, education, social support and career guidance to orphans and disadvantaged children, from pre-school aged children to young adults – many of whom have no family support of any kind. We have seen children under our care grow to become healthy, thriving young adults who have gained tertiary educations and gone on to meaningfully contribute in the community and workforce. To date we have been home to over 200 children.
