Background
The Hong Kong Singers are an amateur theatre company that has been entertaining Hong Kong Audiences for over 75 years. We are on a mission to bring in new members to the society, as well as audience members for our performances. Our website is outdated and thats what we are looking to improve! We want to grab peoples attention, advertise our shows and inform potential new members about our society.
What we have
We will provide you with anything you need! We will have a call before you officially start on as a volunteer, where we will go through what we looking for in the web design, some features to add and allow you to ask questions to us as well.
Why this is important
A well-set up , user friendly and informative website will be help us become more visible within the Hong Kong theatre community. We want it to be a resource for people to find out about our current shows and events and for potential new members to learn about our society and how to join us.

Causes
What we do
The Hong Kong Singers, one of the city’s oldest and most cherished community theatre companies, has been enchanting audiences with spectacular musicals since our founding in 1931. With a vibrant history spanning over nine decades, we showcase a diverse array of performances, from classic Gilbert and Sullivan operas to modern West End and Broadway hits. In 1959 we staged The Mikado, marking the first fully-staged musical in Hong Kong in two decades. In 1998, we became a non-profit organization recognized for our charitable contributions, allowing us to continue to enrich Hong Kong's cultural landscape. Our dedicated committee members work tirelessly to manage and promote the arts within the community, ensuring that the magic of musical theatre continues to thrive. In addition to our theatrical performances, we run a pop-up choir every few months, welcoming singers of all abilities, as well as a yearly Christmas Carol Choir that tours all around Hong Kong spreading good cheer in hospitals, retirement homes and clubs during the festive season. Recently, we launched an Acappella group, providing even more opportunities for community engagement and musical exploration.
