What we need
  • Event is from 6-11 Dec 8:30am-7:00pm at Ma On Shan Sports Centre, please arrive at 8:00am for preparation
  • A briefing will be provided to align the expectations, objectives and goals of the event. Our team will be supporting you and working with you align the way
  • There is no MC script, but information will be provided before you help to make annoucements
  • Bilingual in English and Cantonese is preferred
  • Volunteers with event experience is preferred
  • Feel free to join us even if you can only join one day!
Background

Hong Kong 2023 World Boccia Asia-Oceania Regional Championships is organised by HKSAPD and sanctioned by the Boccia International Sports Federation (World Boccia). It will be held from 6 to 11 December at Ma On Shan Sports Centre. More than 200 top athletes, coaches and team officials from over 8 countries and territories will take part in the tournament.

A briefing will be provided to align the expectations, objectives and goals of the event. Our team will be supporting you and working with you along the way.

Why this is important

The highest ranked Team and Pairs will earn qualification slots to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games directly.

The Sports Association for the Physically Disabled of Hong Kong, China (the Association), previously named the Hong Kong Paralympic Committee & Sports Association for the Physically Disabled (HKPC&SAPD), was established in 1972 under the leadership of Founding President Prof. Sir Harry Fang and a group of rehabilitation enthusiasts. The Association plans, organizes, develops and promotes sports to the physically impaired so they could enjoy fun of sports and lead a healthy lifestyle. The Association is committed to promoting Para sports Development in Hong Kong, as well as enabling local Para athletes to achieve sporting excellence.
