Review, develop financial and accounting processes and assist with budgeting and grant reporting
Our registered charity non-profit organisation is dedicated to raising awareness of literacy and communication in Hong Kong. As a lean team with unpredictable funding, we seek a volunteer finance expert to help us establish robust financial processes and reporting systems. This project involves reviewing our current budgeting and financial routines, providing recommendations for improvements, and ensuring the accuracy of budgets for grants and events. Your expertise will strengthen our financial stability and directly support our mission.
Access to our online accounting software (after discussion) and details of our current financial procedures will be given. Quickbooks, Festival gmail account.
A robust financial system and straightforward operational procedures are essential for us to sustain our community services and flagship festival. These will ensure account accuracy and maintain sufficient cash flow, even during periods of minimal or no incoming income.

It is the mission of the Hong Kong International Literary Festival and the Young Readers Festival to inspire and engage the community of Hong Kong with literary rich experiences, to provide authentic opportunities that promote reading, writing, and creative storytelling in both English and Chinese. We aim to preserve the joy and knowledge that grows when we can successfully communicate and learn about ourselves and the wider world through stories, language, and culture.
