Help us serve families with items of donations
Project Details
What we need
- Welcome onsite clients as they arrive, and assist your designated client throughout their visit
- Set clear expectations with onsite clients as to their appointment duration and departure time
- Guide client with directions, help move furniture and other requested items.
- Occasional heavy lifting so as to load requested items onto cars and trucks, no more than 10kg. We have other volunteers to do team work!
- A minimum attendance of 1 day per week for 3 months is required (Days negotiable, from Tuesdays to Saturdays, 10am to 5.00pm)
- Our full time staff are all volunteers, we look forward to serving alongside you!
Background
Dignity is a necessity, not a luxury, which is why we aim to maintain the highest standard of professionalism when serving those in need. The Donation Distribution Assistant will see to it that clients feel welcome and respected during their time at Crossroads.
What we have
Training will be provided, as will all the necessary equipment. Full-day volunteers are also more than welcome to stay for lunch!
Why this is important
The Hong Kong Distribution Department distributes donated goods to local people in need. As our charity is fully run by volunteers, your help would very much be appreciated.
