What we do

Established in 2014, CareER is the first charity in Hong Kong to provide holistic career support to higher-educated persons with disabilities and special educational needs (SEN) to ensure a smooth transition from campus to the workplace. Standing for Care in Education and Recruitment, CareER provides free job-matching services for employers and disabled/SENs candidates, while acting as a peer support community and alumni union to support higher-educated persons with all 10 types of disabilities as defined by Hong Kong Government, including physical impairment (visual, hearing mobility), developmental and learning disability (Autism, ADHD, specific learning difficulties), mental illness, and more. Through promoting inclusive employment and encouraging diversity & inclusion at the workplace, CareER aims to raise positive awareness among employers and higher education institutions to maximise the capabilities of higher educated persons with disabilities and enable them to become independent and contributing members of society.
