Meet Adele Wong, Founder and Publisher of The Loop HK
About
In 2015, Adele founded online lifestyle website The Loop HK (https://theloophk.com), and in late 2016 she authored a book on traditional Cantonese culture called “Hong Kong Food & Culture: From Dim Sum to Dried Abalone.”
Born in Hong Kong and raised in Toronto, Adele has a degree in Industrial (Systems) Engineering and had worked at international corporations like Kraft Foods and Goldman Sachs before deciding to transition into the media industry. She started as a journalist at the Hong Kong Standard and The Peak Hong Kong, where she covered everything from politics to court cases. She then moved on to editor positions at Where Hong Kong, HK Magazine and various titles under the HK Magazine group, and was most well known for her role as resident dining columnist at HK Magazine. She left in 2015 to start her own publishing company, Man Mo Media (http://www.manmomedia.com/), which is the parent company of The Loop HK.

Requirements
All volunteer hours must be completed from 10 August 2017 to 10 January 2018.
Lunch will be held at 12:15pm on 16 January 2018.
The cost will be HK$200 per person to cover the running cost of the program.
