How Time Auction works

1. Earn Karma

Donating and logging past volunteer hours earns you Karma Points, which you can then use to bid on auctions. $1 donated earns 1 Karma Point and 1 hour volunteered earns 10 Karma Points.

2. Bid

Bid your Karma Points to meet inspiring people, such as humanitarians, entrepreneurs, athletes, or artists. Most auctions allow every bidder to win if the goal is reached.

3. Meet

Time Auction is all about priceless experiences and rewards for the priceless philanthropy you do. Depending on the auction, meetings are done virtually or in person... or both!

Description

Maaike Steinebach has been in banking for 20 years having worked across multiple jurisdictions and financial institutions including Fortis and ABN AMRO.

Since 2003 she is based in Asia, where she has been living and working in Asia; she worked in Singapore, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

She joined Commonwealth Bank of Australia 3 years ago from ABN AMRO where she was lastly Chief Executive of ABN AMRO Hong Kong Branch and Managing Director of Large Corporate and Merchant Banking business in Asia.

At CBA HK she provides oversight for the Institutional Banking & Markets and Private Banking business, supports the bank’s business development in China and is responsible for the Innovation Lab that was opened in January 2016, driving corporate innovation for CBA across the region.

She is passionate about technology and inclusive leadership and sits on the Diversity Council and ESG Council of CBA. She set up Women in Business Network for the Australian Chamber of Commerce for Hong Kong and Macau and also sits on the Women in Business Committee of the Dutch Chamber of Commerce. She is an active member of the Hong Kong Fintech community, start-up mentor and change advisor.

Maaike is married with three kids. She graduated with a Master degree in Business Economics at Amsterdam University.
