Vancouver 2009

The Vancouver Time Auction raised 6,350 volunteer hours for over 30 different charities and not-for-profits in the Greater Vancouver area.

Some items up for bid included: a $500 skin-care package from KISS Smile and Skincare (raised 480 hours), some mixed martial arts lessons from Versus21 on Water Street (raised 120 hours), and a dinner cruise for two off Granville Island, courtesy of Accent Cruises (raised 190 hours).  The event was free and was held at the University of British Columbia’s Student Union Building (SUB).

The Vancouver Time Auction was run in partnership with the International Business Club at UBC.  The auctioneer for the event was Antoine Mandy, who has over 6 years of professionally certified auctioneering experience.

Over $7,500 in products and services were donated.  Charities such as the Big Sisters of BC Lower Mainland, 3H Craftworks, and Coast Mental Health are some of the many charities that received the benefits of the volunteering hours.
