Rules

Before the Auction:

1. Every participant must sign up to receive a bidding sign (the sign with big numbers).
2. You can sign up individually or in teams of two (no more).
3. Teams must register as a team before the auction.

During the Auction:

1. Bid increments are a minimum of 5 hours.
2. The auctioneer’s word is final.
3. There is no ceiling on bid amounts – just keep in mind the rules for After the Auction (see below).

After the Auction:

1. Complete your volunteer hours within two months of the auction date.
2. Complete your volunteer hours with a registered Canadian charity or not-for-profit.
3. Volunteer hours must be a new commitment started after the auction date (i.e. doesn’t count if you already volunteer there prior to the auction).
4. Notify Time Auction staff once you have finished your hours.
